Muslim Women Stand Up Against Myanmar Military Junta

Following the 2021 military coup in Myanmar, people of various backgrounds and religions have come together with a shared objective: to remove the military regime and its dictator for the country’s improvement.

Despite numerous challenges, many Muslim women have courageously joined the nationwide anti-junta resistance, actively opposing the regime’s forces in their respective regions.

Ethnic armed groups and People Defense Forces, central to the resistance movement, embrace Muslim women’s full participation, acknowledging their indispensable role in the fight for justice.
