The National Unity Government (NUG) in Myanmar announced the surrender of 120 junta regime personnel to the People Defense Force (PDF) in Homalin township, Hkamti district.
The surrender followed a ten-day siege by the PDF from Homalin, Hkamti, and Mawlaik, forcing the junta forces to capitulate. This surrender underscores the junta’s growing realization of their inability to defeat the NUG and its allied forces.
Moreover, it highlights the NUG’s success in mobilizing local support against the military regime and showcases the strength and unity of the opposition movement.
